Frozen milk

I do not drink much milk, so it can spoil quickly. I learned that freezing milk makes it last much longer. I’ve had milk frozen up to 30 days past “best by” date that is still fine, and lasts for about a week or more after thawing.

I buy one gallon, then fill two 1/2 gallon jugs 3/4 full (allows room for expansion). I drink the remainder of the gallon. When necessary, I thaw one jug for about six – eight hours, depending on ambient temp. Then refrigerate.

I have seen a 1/2 gallon of milk priced the SAME as one gallon of milk, so this SAVES MONEY too!
